On November 8, 2025, Dr. Hannah Zohren from the German Space Agency (DLR) gave a presentation on “Quantum Technologies in Space” at the 16th Koblenzer Nacht der Technik in Koblenz, Germany. The talk, delivered in German, was attended by around 120 people and aimed at the general public.
Dr. Zohren explained the basics of quantum physics and why it is particularly useful for research in space. She also highlighted how experiments in microgravity can help us better understand quantum effects and discussed potential applications of quantum technologies in space and their benefits for everyday life on Earth.
The event provided an opportunity for visitors to learn about the latest developments in quantum science and space research in an accessible and engaging way.
