We are pleased to introduce Jorge, who is taking part in the CARIOQA-PHA project. In CARIOQA-PHA, GMV plays the role of leader in Mission Analysis. This is one of the main technical work packages, as it will help define requirements for the entire mission by analysing the most suitable orbit options. Once the orbit for the satellite carrying the instrument is defined,GMV will lead the analysis of the delta-V and fuel requirements for the entire mission lifetime. Additionally, GMV will develop a deorbiting strategy to comply with current regulations and conduct an analysis of the orbit environment (including illumination conditions, radiation, eclipses, etc.). Furthermore, GMV will characterize duration and latency of the contacts with ground stations for data download. These activities are coordinated with other Work Package leaders to find a solution that fulfils the mission needs in terms of design, performance, and budget.
